Job Description:  The Head of Interactive Media will assume a senior level role within Nerd Corps Entertainment and will provide strategic and creative direction to the senior management team in developing interactive strategies for each of the company’s intellectual properties as well as develop original IP and opportunities in the online space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop the business plan for the interactive division, including staffing, financing and revenue and profit targets

• Creatively develop immersive and compelling online strategies and design documents for each of Nerd Corps’ IP, including websites, games and MMOG’s

• Develop distribution and revenue strategies that ultimately grow the audience for the IP

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, including delivery of interactive media projects

• Develop partnerships with companies that can broaden the opportunity to grow the audience and which ultimately drive revenue

• Grow the Nerd Corps brand in the interactive community with all stakeholders, including financial, creative and technological

• Assist with the recruitment of additional staff within division where necessary; negotiate and complete employment agreements using template and freelance agreements for contractors

• Establish and manage the relationships with external production service studios as required

• Effectively manage the budgeting, production and execution of all interactive projects within the company

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in the creative development of online strategies and online experiences at a consumer targetted company, preferably with some background in the kids space

• Previous experience with TV related IP in the online space an asset

• Demonstrated experience with partnering on multiple levels with clients and stakeholders

• A background in either the development of MMOG’s, web based and platform gaming or immersive online experiences is a must

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively interact with a range of personalities and styles and to establish effective relationships at all levels of the organization

• The demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team

• The candidate of choice will be strongly self-motivated
