Position: Character Animator

Start Date: April 2008

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual with strong character animation skills and experience in 3D animation for broadcast television or feature film production. Our successful candidate will excel at creating high calibre dramatic and action oriented character animation while at the same time meeting production deadlines.

Job Requirements:

  • The desire to break the conventional animation limitations of 3D animated television series and create the highest possible quality of animation in this medium.
  • Thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment.
  • 1+ years experience preferably with a background in episodic TV or feature animation.
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of 3D character animation.
  • A strong understanding of character acting principles.
  • Solid knowledge of Softimage XSI is beneficial.
  • A strong understanding of motion, weight, emotion, acting and timing.
  • The ability to take direction well and excel in a team environment.

NOTE: Successful applicant must be a Canadian citizen orpossess landed immigrant status and be willing to work at Nerd Corps studio in Vancouver, Canada.
